WHY I WORK AT ICHS:

I was drawn to ICHS by its commitment to service to and advocacy for underserved populations. I appreciate an organization that is committed to social justice and community engagement. And, I’m excited to join an organization supportive of programming for frail, older adults.

PATIENT CARE PHILOSOPHY:

I believe it is vital to sit down with my patients to understand their health goals and work with them to craft a care plan that helps them achieve those goals. By providing a thorough assessment that considers all aspects of their health (physical, functional, cognitive, cultural, and psychosocial) as well as conducting a complete survey of their medical concerns and treatments, I can propose a comprehensive plan to manage their chronic conditions to help them maintain their function and independence. I particularly enjoy doing this with an interdisciplinary team (key to our model in PACE) so that each patient can benefit from the perspectives of a group of healthcare professionals working together.

INTERESTING NOTE ABOUT MYSELF:

I love experiencing other cultures and have traveled, lived, and volunteered on five continents (I still need to get to Oceania). I love to bicycle and ski, cook and craft, sing, and cheer for our hometown and children’s teams.
