WHY I WORK AT ICHS:

I love the sense of community that ICHS provides and feel a sense of camaraderie with all the staff members. I am also humbled to be part of generation of physicians, health professionals, and activists at ICHS and having the privilege to care and advocate for my patients and their community. There is a rich history of providing the highest quality of care and community activism from the earliest day from when ICHS started on Maynard to today where we continue to serve many un-insured and under-insured folks at our multiple sites.

PATIENT CARE PHILOSOPHY:

I believe that healthcare is a human right. Everybody deserves the highest quality of care, free from discrimination of their race, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, physical and intellectual ability, and their ability to pay. I value each clinical encounter and see it as an opportunity to get to know my patient better and offer the best care to my patient to help them make informed decisions about their health. As a family physician, I have the privilege of caring for everyone, from newborn to the elderly and all the wonderful life stages in between.

INTERESTING NOTE ABOUT MYSELF:

I grew up in New York and spent 4 wonderful years in Chicago for medical school. In between I lived and worked in Uganda, China, and Vietnam. I am excited to be living in Seattle and have the privilege of calling the International District my new home. I love exploring the local restaurants and tea shops around here. I enjoy coming by Hing Hay Park often for walks after dinner, or getting a matcha latte at the Panama Hotel Café, or paying a visit to the Danny Woo Community Garden. Pronouns: he/him/his
