Hepatitis Testing Day

May 19, 2017 all-day

Be #HepAware & Support Hepatitis Awareness Month & Testing Day

Millions of Americans are living with viral hepatitis, but most do not know they are infected. Many people can live with hepatitis for decades without symptoms or feeling sick. Left untreated, chronic hepatitis can cause serious health problems, including liver damage, cirrhosis, and even liver cancer. Getting tested is the only way to know if you are infected.

May is Hepatitis Awareness Month and May 19 is national Hepatitis Testing Day. Join CDC and our public health partners to raise awareness and increase testing. Support our Thunderclap, be #HepAware and encourage others to do the same
