My husband and I had waited for years to get the visa to come to America. We had put off having children as we knew we would have difficulties and struggles in the beginning. I knew I would have no family support and understood we would be living in shared accommodation.
When I realized I was pregnant, I was terrified. I had no idea how we were going to manage. I was put on “Pregnancy Apple Health” and was able to go to the doctor for medical check-ups and screenings. I had a problem with one of the bills and saw how much some of these things could cost. One of the doctors I had been referred to was not accepting my medical insurance and I was being billed for more than $1,000. International Community Health Services staff quickly called them and corrected the bill. It took a couple of weeks, but I was glad that they solved the issue. I was so worried that we would be sent to a collections agency.
I’m so happy with ICHS! Thank you!
