Job Summary

The Dental Assistant assists the dentist with patient exams and a variety of dental procedures which include preparing and maintaining instruments, equipment, and materials for all dental procedures, while ensuring patients are relaxed and as comfortable as possible.

ICHS is hiring both a Dental Assistant level 1 position and a Dental Assistant level 2 position.

Position Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent. Completion of a Dental Assistant program preferred.
  
• 6 months of Dental Assistant experience preferred. Dental Assistant experience with patients with special health care needs.
• Dental Assistant Registration from Washington State Department of Health required.

Position Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program. Medical Assistant Certification or Medical Assistant Interim Certification required. Medical Assistant Interim Certification must be updated to a Medical Assistant Certification prior to expiration of Medical Assistant Interim Certification. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred. If BLS certification is not current, classes will be offered at ICHS and certification will be required within 3 months of hire.
  
• One year in a healthcare setting preferred. Experience with using electronic health record (EHR) preferred; bilingual English and Asian or Spanish language preferred.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification or Medical Assistant Interim Certification from Washington State DOH required. Medical Assistant Interim Certification must be updated to a Medical Assistant Certification prior to expiration of Medical Assistant Interim Certification. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
