Why I Work at ICHS:
I am deeply aligned with the ICHS founding mission to provide culturally sensitive health care to a diverse population from around the world along with a commitment to social justice and patient advocacy.
Patient Care Philosophy:
My philosophy of practice is steeped in an Integrative Medicine approach with each person being an active partner in their own healing process. To support that healing, I offer conventional medicine; functional medicine; herbal medicine; mind/body practices (embodied movement practices, yoga, meditation and stress-reduction techniques) and nutrition support – with food as medicine.
It is my job as a health care provider to remind my patients to trust the innate wisdom of their body to heal and support them along the way.
Interesting Note about myself:
I enjoy travelling and immersing myself in other cultures. I am passionate about growing my own food, eating local, and cooking farm to fork meals. As a dancer, I often offer “dance as a prescription” and it never ceases to amaze me to see how movement and dance can help people heal and transform their lives.
I love the diversity, the camaraderie, and the commitment to those who are most in need.
Patient Care Philosophy:
I believe in the power of continuity and enjoy working with patients over time to address their personal health goals. I am passionate about social justice and believe it is equally important to advocate for patients outside of the clinic setting in order to create a healthier community.
Interesting Note About Myself:
I have the same 3 letters in my first, middle and last name!
I enjoy working in a multicultural environment where everyone is welcomed and treated with respect.
Patient Care Philosophy:
My treatment philosophy is non-judgmental and strength-based through a biopsychosocial framework. I utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities to foster the healing process for my clients.
