For five decades, ICHS has welcomed people of all backgrounds in need of care. In 1973, ICHS was formed by young Asian American activists to disrupt the systemic racism that denied health to Asian immigrant communities.
Today, ICHS remains deeply rooted in the same communities, serving immigrant and refugee patients in over 70 languages. We’ve grown from a single storefront to include four clinic locations, two school-based health centers, an assisted living house, and more!

- International District Clinic and Legacy House
Our International District Clinic was our first, and continues to serve the Chinatown-International District community today! For our 50th anniversary year, we celebrate the community who got us started, and the staff who continue the work today.
- Holly Park Clinic
Our Holly Park Medical & Dental Clinic is located in South Seattle’s diverse Rainier Valley area. Opening in 1996, it was ICHS' second clinic location. The clinic relocated to its current location in 2005, and continues to be a vital part of the neighborhood.
- Bellevue Clinic
There is very much a need for community-based, affordable, and culturally-relevant health care across the region, including in Bellevue. Since 2014 when we opened our Bellevue location, ICHS has strived to fill that gap - we are 1 of only 3 federally qualified health centers in the city!
- Shoreline Clinic
When ICHS' Shoreline Medical & Dental Clinic opened in 2014, it was the first nonprofit community health center in the city's history. The opening of the clinic filled an urgent need for the Shoreline community and helped signal ICHS' expansion as a regional health care provider serving immigrant and low-income populations beyond Seattle.
