ICHS’ behavioral health services are focused on improving the overall health of patients. The behavioral health provider works jointly with patients, primary care providers and other health care team members to evaluate and treat any health concerns affected by behavior.

Who we help

The behavioral health provider focuses on helping patients whose habits, unhealthy behaviors, stress, medical problems or emotions interfere with daily routines and negatively affect health. Behavioral health serves children, teens and adults.

  • Alcohol/substance abuse
  • Unhealthy eating habits
  • Poor lifestyle behaviors and habits
  • Living with long-term illness or adjusting to medical problems
  • Extreme fears
  • Overcoming grief over the loss of a loved one
  • Children with learning problems or poor grades
  • Parenting difficult children
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Recovering from painful experience
  • Memory loss or confusion

How we can help

ICHS primary care providers will introduce a patient to a behavioral health provider if requested or if it is necessary for successful treatment. Patients may also schedule appointments directly by calling the phone numbers listed above.

Consultation: This is a quick 15-minute session where a behavioral health provider will gather information about a problem and recommend brief interventions. This commonly occurs during the appointment with the primary care provider.

Evaluation: We will gather relevant detailed information about your problem and recommend proven treatments.

Treatment: We recognize your unique traditions and cultural practices. We will work with you to come up with the best possible treatment that you’re comfortable with and help you implement previous skills, learn new skills, and make changes to your life so you can become well again.

Psychiatric Consultation: If treatment requires medication, your treatment team will either obtain recommendations from or refer you to a specialist with advanced expertise.
